Osteoporosis

The National Osteoporosis Foundation has pointed out that "Osteoporosis is largely preventable for most people.  Prevention of this disease is very important because, while there are treatments for osteoporosis, there is currently no cure."

According to the Surgeon General's report on bone health, to decrease the likelihood of developing osteoporosis, it is recommended that people of all ages get the recommended amounts of calcium and vitamin D.  Calcium supplements may be helpful in the Prevention of Osteoporosis.

Are you taking calcium that your body can actually absorb?   The proper combination of calcium, properly breaking down your foods to assimilate the calcium, and the proper weight bearing exercises have all been found to be effective in the prevention of osteoporosis.  Find out about a customized exercise program to combat osteoporosis!
